The fourth record by this United Kingdom collective marks many departures. The album says goodbye to singer, songwriter and Tunng founder Sam Genders, and brings into the fold a new lyricist and a new lead vocalist. The boy and girl quintet also takes a turn to the loud here, shucking their much softer beginnings in favour of bigger beats, beefier guitars, up-front synthesizers and some boss group sing-a-longs. Musically, the band builds on its pastoral folk past and jams the waves with healthy pop winds, electronic glitches, studio magic and weirder vibes. November 15th at Casa del Popolo.
