Critiques CD: Yuck | Yuck

If you yearn for the glory daze of a twin guitar chord attack circa the early 1990s, then Yuck are for you. These young British upstarts will take you on a trip down memory’s lane on their debut, back to the days when slacker pop filled the bubblegum machine and you were in love with Dinosaur Jr., early Teenage Fanclub and a younger version of Pavement. All in all, this is a fine recapitulation of an indie rock we once knew, full of fuzzy feedback, ear-teasing hooks and saccharine boy-girl harmonies, all the while fuelled by lovelorn optimism. April 30th at Café Campus.
