Critiques CD: Cloud Nothings | Attack on Memory

The capital B buzz has followed young dude Dylan Baldi since his lo-fi rock tunes started to make the rounds of various music players three years ago. Moving from his parents’ basement to real-deal studios, Baldi and co. have managed to keep what was so attracting intact, namely a balls-to-the walls stab at a punk-leaning pop song, filled with plenty o’ gusto, melody, fuzz and charm. On record three – produced by sonic maestro Steve Albini – urgency reigns supreme through an angry youth pissed off at the world we see before us – loud feedback-drenched guitars, defiant words, and a lock and stock rhythm section lead the barrage. They will take no prisoners. March 24th at Casa Del Popolo.
