Voyeur Friday: give Foufs a chance

Where the SAT and Stereo are regarded as ideal venues for techno events of all stripes, Les Foufounes Électriques is a less obvious choice. Sandwiched between questionable restaurants and shady businesses, the legendary hideout has played host to a variety of punk, rock and most recently hip hop nights. Techno, however, is a new undertaking, with Jordan Dare fine-picking the location to host his notorious Voyeur Fridays.

If by day, Jordan Dare looks like your average Plateau Joe, by night he becomes king of the underground techno scene thanks to his remarkable DJ skills. Coupled with Foufs’ throbbing sound system, Dare gets the crowd moving to the sound of his own carefully crafted 4×4 beats and his favourite techno variations. No need to fear the punks, Teddy Boys, gangstas and South Shore emos. Just give Foufs a chance to be the latest in a long line of memorable techno venues in town.
