Below is an excerpt of a poem based on a series of events believed to have taken place in Dresden, The Kingdom of Saxony, in the year 1558 AD:
The Mysterious Maria Ellietta had a Great Ball,
The Aristocrats of the Town, the Maidens and All,
Invited to Dance and Dine on this mid winters night
the town was intrigued with a careless delight.
The eve of the ball, brought a somber cold wind
The townsfolk entered the ball
as the merrymaking was set to begin.
yet all those in attendance,
fair virgins and great men
Whence enshrined in the darkness
Never to be seen again
The truth of the tale
The walls painted in red.
A lone survivor
Maria basking and bathing in death.
