Chromatic: giving Warhol a run for his money

If you were too young to attend a wild Andy Warhol Factory party, you probably missed a spectacular night of performance and decadence. However, no need to curse your parents for being born too late since a modern twist on this type of happening is planned at the SAT on May 14th under the Chromatic moniker.

 

Thrown by the Massiv Art collective, the night is set to become their biggest and most successful bash since last April’s Massiv en couleur. This year, they bring a rich palette of art-related events such as a VJ battle that will test the strengths of Montreal’s best multimedia artists. As for those who are curious to see blank canvases come to life, there will be live painting sessions by local painters, eager to show you what they can accomplish under pressure. Moreover, wannabe DJs will find comfort in live mixing sessions that showcase their undiscovered skills to the crowd. And this type of party wouldn’t be complete without the magic of a local DJ. Indeed, DJ Lunice will hit the decks with his celebrated electro-infused hip hop and one goal in mind: prove that art can get you thinking and moving.
