Wavves: too young to die, too young to know better
Singer, guitarist, skateboarder, and songwriter Nathan Williams has already lived a lifetime despite only tipping the scales into his early twenties.

Willliams is Wavves and Wavves is Williams; a San Diego native with two critically-lauded and commercially successful albums of skuzzy West Coast pop and slacker punk already under his thin belt. His quick rise to fame and insane touring load led to breakdowns, bust-ups, internet rumors and gossip, and addictions, but the sailing has been a lot smoother of late.

Since hooking up with the late Jay Reatard’s rhythm section late last year, following a short stint where he jammed with Hella stickman Zach Hill, Williams has found the head space and creative zen zone to push on through with album number three, slated for an August release (tentatively titled King of the Beach).

The new record marks his first foray into a real studio and his first connection with a real-life producer. Expect the unexpected.
