Critiques CD: Various | Live at Robert Johnson Vol 5 by Roman Flügel

Frankfurt nightclub Robert Johnson has been a stomping ground for DJ/producer Roman Flügel (a.k.a. Alter Ego, Acid Test, Soylent Green, etc) since he started out in the mid ‘90s. However, this is actually Flügel’s first solo mix CD. Funky techno, with plenty of quirks, twists and turns that at times spin out into D&B, robot rock and laser battles in outer space. The excellent “Don’t Take It” by Armando, featuring Sharvette bringing a pure diva house lesson done up right, breaks down into an awesome, disintegrating mix. Worth the price of admission for both androids and humans with silicone hearts and hips.
