Cop Car Bonfire: Stealth Missionary of Music

Let’s just call him Tim the street acid man. We’re withholding his last name because at the moment he’s dealing with fines from some unappreciative Plateau coppers.

Why? Well, since his move from Canada’s Left Coast (Vancouver Island and Kelowna, B.C.) last year, Tim’s been sonic blasting passers-by as a modern-day DIY, tech-fried busker outdoors, which as many of us know, is frowned upon by many levels of Montreal’s city administration.

While leading a double life as Cop Car Bonfire in the hallowed concert halls and juke joints of this city, CCB delivers grainy electronics, busting percussion, drum-triggered samples, homemade oscillators and distorted vocals, tying the whole mass together with an array of druggy visuals. Part of the burgeoning INTERNET IS DEAD posse – a brand new record label and artist collective made up of both Anglo and Franco visual artists and musicians – Cop Car Bonfire is about to set your worlds on fire.
