A Montreal electro quartet made up of veteran DJs Erik El, Bruno Brown, musicians Jean-Michel Lapointe and Nicolas Maranda, their steamy debut is perfectly suited for revving up the heat at Super Sexe. What’s refreshing about their take on lascivious tech-house (the kind that features Bulgarian gals purring into the mic over driving rhythms) is that they’re clearly not taking themselves too seriously. Rhythms are mostly solid throughout (as on the Latin-inflected “Guapa”); the selection of vocalists, however, leaves to be desired. Really, a yoga instructor with breathy “inhale/exhale” commands? Honey, please.
