But far beyond a point of controversy and contention, Montréal’s Take Off Your Clothes, garment swapping event is certainly the most economical, eco-friendly, and simply entertaining means of stripping down your wardrobe and doing a service to the community.

Battling the powers of over-consumption this weekend will also provide you with a fair amount of entertainment courtesy of local performers Ulka Mohanty, Clint Lewis, Olivier Martineau, Street Hearts, and Rice and Barley, as well as Boston’s own DJ The Wig. Just make sure you’re not unloading your entire wardrobe at the Place Des Arts, as there’s a 10-article limit. Nevertheless, with a total of 12,000 pieces of clothing swapped during last year’s initiative, they’ll need each and every peer to be at their ‘sharing-is-caring,’ hippy best to break the record.
