Critiques CD: Eternal Summers | Correct Behavior

Fresh out of Virginia, Eternal Summers doesn’t corner itself into any particular genre: from one song to the next, one might guess they’re going for a late 80‘s new wave-meets-post-punk vibe, a rehash of early-90s girl-vocalist-centric alternative rock, or even a reverb-drenched spin on Metric’s girlish indie-rock. Depending how you look at it, Correct Behavior, the followup to 2010 debut Silver, can be seen as unconfined or simply all over the place. What is a constant throughout is lead singer Nicole Yun’s breathy chime swimming in dreamy yet simplistically-composed guitaring. August 6th at Casa del popolo.
